Photo courtesy T&T Event PhotographyThe outstanding level of artistic skill that is expressed by students in schools throughout Trinidad & Tobago is highly inspiring. Unfortunately, the general public, for the most part, is unaware of this. A.B.C.D. believes that a forum should be established that would bring the work of students to the public in a suitable manner that would be a consistent reminder of the wealth of talent that lies within our young citizens.
Enter "E.V.O.L.V.E."! This monthly display of selected student art work at various suitable locations has emerged as our flagship project. Selected schools are invited to submit photographs of original student work to be considered for exhibit. The selected artwork is then collected, framed and displayed at one of our partnering locations for a period of 3 - 4 weeks, after which it is returned to the student artist. Participants have the option to sell their submissions if so desired.
The format of “E.V.O.L.V.E.” allows for not only the individual student to be placed in the limelight but also the school which he or she attends. It is expected that this project will serve to enhance our community/communal spaces and transmit the “positive vibes” that are much needed in our society today.

Saturday 13th April – 16th November, 2019
E.V.O.L.V.E. 2019 was truly representative of its name as growth was noted in various areas. The on-going student art exhibition was launched on Saturday 13th April, 2019 following the receipt of the Ministry of Education’s approval letter. The launch was held at “The Home of the Artist” (Palmiste, San Fernando) which is owned by Mrs. Rosaline Ajene-Henry, one of A.B.C.D.’s biggest supporters. Other businesses that supported by allowing us to exhibit at their premises all located in San Fernando are The Parlour Royale, (Royal Road); Indar’s Healthy Delights (Royal Palm, Todd Street); and Nichossa Restaurant, Bakery & Desserts (Gulf Link Road).
Our E.V.O.L.V.E. exhibit was also featured at the Victoria District Teachers’ Convention held on TTUTA Day (11/10/19) at the Naparima Bowl, San Fernando. On the invitation of the organizers for the Caribbean Colour Splash Secondary Schools Anti-Bullying Conference (30/10/19), a mini-exhibit was installed at the foyer of the Southern Academy of the Performing Arts. Over 400 students had the opportunity to view the work of their peers. The final display was hosted at Nichossa Restaurant, Bakery & Desserts.
A wonderful opportunity was presented to us as marketing consultant, Mr. Rory Moses, invited A.B.C.D. to be a part of its July promotions at South Park Mall. As a result, a major exhibition of artworks from various Secondary Schools of southern Trinidad was installed over 5 days (23rd – 27th July, 2019). Located at the foyer of the Fitness Centre, there was a constant flow of visitors and over 100 persons left their positive comments in our visitors’ book.
