“Discovering The Beauty That Surrounds Us”
Road Trip” is a project that engages students in re-discovering their community and creating works of art as a result of their experiences. It takes an integrated approach to curriculum delivery with the main threads being the Visual & Performing Arts, Social Studies/History, and Information & Communication Technology. The main objective is to stimulate participants to appreciate the beauty that surrounds them and as citizens of Trinidad & Tobago, step into their role as stewards to care for and preserve what is the heritage of all generations.

The first ever A.B.C.D. Road Trip was to The Temple In the Sea and the Dattatreya Yoga Centre, Carapichaima Trinidad & Tobago, with the students and teachers of Waterloo Secondary School. The field trip was coordinated by artist/teacher Ms. Patty-Sue Franklyn. It was a day of learning and much excitement! Check out the highlights.

Our group was fortunate on this visit to meet with Narine, the son of the late SEWDASS SADHU; the devotee who committed his life to the building of this temple. They heard about some of the struggles faced and the moments of pride. Follow the link to learn more about Sewdass Sadhu.

Our next A.B.C.D. Road Trip was to Harris Promenade and the San Fernando Hill. We ventured to these outstanding heritage sites of the second city of Trinidad & Tobago with the students and teachers of San Fernando West Secondary. It was a great day of fun, learning and relaxation.
