On the 1st March, 2024, Form 1 students of San Fernando West Secondary School (S.F.W.S.) presented the school's first ever public performance at the Southern Academy of the Performing Arts (S.A.P.A.). The play, "Dream" was written by Drama/Theatre Arts teacher, Mr. Dellon Mathison, and is inspired by the children's book, "Boy-Boy and the Magic Drum" which was written by Dr. Machel Montano.
Art By Creative Design assisted in the preparation of course material used for this Integrated Arts Project. We were also present on the day to highlight the work of A.B.C.D.'s Emerging Artist 2022, Miss Deneisha Ayers, a past student of S.F.W.S.!
We were honoured to have Dr. the Honourable Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, Minister of Education, Deputy Mayor of the City of San Fernando Ms. Patricia Alexis, Icon of Our Heritage, Dr. Machel Montano, and other esteemed members of the Arts community visit our booth.
Congratulations to the students and staff of San Fernando West Secondary on a wonderful production!

MRS. ANTOINETTE VALENTINE-LEWIS:
"Happy New Year to Ms. Yeana Kelly-Simmons, and the ABCD team. May 2021 - the start of a new decade- be filled with hope, promise and success. While 2020 has been a difficult and challenging year, it also centred us in ways that have been positive and uplifting. We are thankful, for example, for the opportunities presented to revisit, refine and even develop new teaching and learning templates. I feel confident that the ABCD team is embracing these opportunities and remain steadfast in their vision for the children of our nation. May God bless and guide your work…for nothing is impossible with God."
MS. ANNE WHITE:
"It is my pleasure to send greetings to ABCD on the occasion of your 2021 Annual General Meeting.
Please accept my heartfelt congratulations on the tremendous strides you have taken in creating awareness, engaging the community, developing new partnerships and in promoting the importance of the arts in enriching children's lives and creating well-rounded citizens. Kudos for never giving up even in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
As you begin to implement your strategic vision for this new year, I pray that you will enjoy much success. I encourage you to continue to be strong in your resolve, and confident in your abilities. Move beyond your comfort zone if needed as you educate and engage decision makers pivotal to achieving the goals you have set.
Continue to support each other, aim high and stay strong in the knowledge that with God's help and continued hard work, you can make the dream come true. May God bless you all."
