"Connect. Create. Glow Up!"

The Junior Creatives Studio (JCS) is an awareness campaign by the non-profit organization, Art By Creative Design (A.B.C.D.), for Junior Creatives in Trinidad aged between 11 and 19 years. It is specially designed to develop their creative arts skills through skills-based activities, open discussions, featured workshops and on-line platforms. Using an innovative integrated approach to course delivery, A.B.C.D.’s program emphasizes the development of the attitudes, along with the skills and knowledge needed for Junior Creatives to access further opportunities to achieve higher standards of academic and non-academic performance.

Our FREE program meets Junior Creatives where they are, and guides them forward as they Achieve, Believe, Create and Dream, while they have fun making new connections,

and enJoy new experiences.

EXPERIENCE:

Classes where Junior Creatives can learn new skills in the Creative Arts (Creative Writing, Drama, Dance, Music, Visual Arts).

This initiative was developed as part of the AMPLIFY: Nonprofit Creative Capacity Building Program by East Yard Enterprises and its partners.

A.B.C.D. held its first virtual session of its Junior Creative Studio as part of San Fernando West Secondary's "Health & Career Fair 2021". Graphic Designer, Jerrell Riley visited with us as we spoke about the world of Graphic & Communication Design. Riley is also the Fashion Designer behind the brand "Wide Awake".

Visit to K.I.N.D.

When the administrator at the Kids In Need of Direction asked A.B.C.D. to be a part of their Easter camp programme there was no hesitation. Located in Laventille, Port-of-Spain, the K.I.N.D. centre provides education support to young persons in the area. Your support is always welcomed.

J.C.S. at South Park Mall

The Junior Creatives Studio was at the South Park Mall in July 2019, and it was exciting! Visitors had the opportunity to participate in our week of activities which featured presentations by specially invited guest artists. The E.V.O.L.V.E. Exhibition of student artists was a fine example of the talent of our youth creatives.

Akinola Sennon, pan extraordinaire & entrepreneur, is the force behind the Cousoumeh Movement based in Siparia. The Deltones Institute of the Steel-drums & Music let the sweet sounds ring through the hall-way!

Junior Creatives, Akeela, Mariah & Zakiyah, had fun exploring the world of colour.

Keisha Padilla was the featured artist at our Junior Creatives Studio. She shared painting tips during the Live Art Display.
